Dr. Danigassalam K

Dr. Danigassalam K serves as a Family Medicine Consultant at Van Allen Hospital, Kodaikanal, bringing over two decades of diverse clinical experience in family medicine, emergency care, critical care, community healthcare, and mission hospital leadership.

A graduate of JIPMER, Puducherry, Dr. Danigassalam completed his DNB in Family Medicine at Christian Fellowship Hospital, Oddanchatram, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive and community-oriented medical care. Throughout his career, he has served across mission hospitals and healthcare institutions in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Odisha, caring for patients in both urban and rural settings.

His clinical expertise includes intensive care management, emergency medicine, outpatient and inpatient care, diabetic management, ultrasound imaging, and community health training. He has also played key leadership roles in hospital administration, healthcare planning, and medical outreach initiatives, particularly while serving at Graham Staines Memorial Hospital in Odisha.

At Van Allen Hospital, Dr. Danigassalam currently manages ICU care, emergency services, and routine medical consultations while also serving as a facilitator for the PGDFM Program of the Distance Education Department at CMC Vellore.
